Toxic Roundup event canceled for Saturday, Oct. 17 by Kern County

FRAZIER PARK, CA (Friday, Oct. 16 at 3:15 p.m.)—Kern County Waste Management has canceled its Toxic Roundup event that was scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 17. See the press release below.

The Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event scheduled at the Lebec Transfer Station for this Saturday, October 17, 2015 has been CANCELLED due to the weather and road closures. “We have another Household Hazardous Waste Collection event scheduled for January 16, 2016 at the Lebec Transfer Station” said Nancy Ewert, Assistant Public Works Director. Residents in the Frazier Mountain community can also bring their household hazardous waste to the Kern County Special Waste Facility located at 4951 Standard Street, in Bakersfield, Wednesday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Lebec Transfer Station provides refuse disposal services to the residents of the Frazier Park and Lebec mountain communities.

Residents and businesses that obtain refuse collection services from Mountainside Sanitation should contact them at (661) 831-2837 for questions regarding their trash pick-up schedule.
