The VFW held a ceremony at the Cody Prosser Veterans Memorial Saturday, May 24. Frank Sanchez and Gary "Doc" McAdams coordinated.

Wreaths were presented from the Vietnam Veterans Motorcycle Club and The Mountian Enterprise. McAdams spoke about those who fell in service, and names were read of soldiers from this region who have died. Supervisor Ray Watson spoke. Patric Hedlund, Editor of The Mountain Enterprise, carried a message from the family of Paul Huie, a National Guard Iraq veteran who ended his life on Gorman Post Road last week.

McAdam spoke of the continuing need for medical assistance to those with combat-related post traumatic stress (PTSD) that can lead to death. If you or a loved one feel at risk, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1 (800) 273- TALK (8255) can help.

An additional gathering took place on Monday morning, with a re-presenting of the wreaths.
