Saturday, August 22

• The Lake of the Woods Property Owners Association is hosting its Second Annual Community Yard Sale, 8 a.m.–noon, Cuddy Hall. All Mountain Community residents are invited to participate. Register as a seller online at cuddyhall.com.

• Community Clean-up Day in Frazier Park, volunteers meet at 9 a.m. at Frazier Mountain Park to pick up supplies and work to noon, then have lunch at Caveman Cavey’s. Please reserve your spot with RSVP to Ryan Shultz (661.868.3680 or shultzr@co.kern.ca.us).

• Ft. Tejon is holding a Volunteer Training Day, 9 a.m.–4 p.m. at 4201 Fort Tejon Rd., Lebec. If you love history, and want to help with the living history program, this training is intended for both continuing and new volunteers. Call Sean Malis at 661.248.7001.

• The 2015 Gorman Ridge Rally cars at Hungry Valley SVRA will be on display from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and the rally begins at 11 a.m. Spectators can view the race at Maxey Stage, 11:30 a.m.–4 p.m. Park admission of $5 covers the event (www.gormanrally.com/).

Thursday, August 27

• Come and share your ideas at the Second Frazier Mountain Park Master Plan Community Meeting, 6:30–7:30 p.m., Frazier Park Community Center (3801 Park Dr., F.P.). Kern County Parks and Recreation is seeking public input regarding improvements to Frazier Mountain Park. Any and all ideas promoting a safer and healthier park are welcome.

Saturday, August 29

Sunday, August 30

• The Second Annual Everything Exchange is being held today, 11 a.m.–4 p.m., at the PMC tennis parking lot. Bring what you can and take what you want. No money changes hands, but donations are welcome. Please, no perishable items or undergarments. Ongoing and Upcoming

• A free ATV Safety Class for ages 6–17 is being offered by the ATV Safety Institute at Hungry Valley SVRA Park on the third Saturday of each month at Smith Forks Campground. This is a four-hour certification class. Enrollment is limited (HungryValleyASITraining@gmail.com).

• Beginning Tai Chi at Frazier Mountain Park is every Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. through August 28 with instructor Jessie Finneman (661.448.5036). Donation is $5.

• The Green Dragon Farmers Market will be open Saturdays, 10 a.m. to noon, through the growing season (3433 Los Padres Dr., Frazier Park). A variety of fresh vegetables, fruit, herbs and eggs will be available. Fresh food vouchers are available at the Family Resource Center and can be redeemed on market days.

• A Community Yard Sale is planned for Saturday, Sept. 5 at the Lampkin Park Black Top, 8 a.m.–2 p.m. Spaces (10’ x 10’) will be available on a first come, first served basis.

• The Ridge Route Communities Museum’s Annual Yard Sale will have something for everyone, 9 a.m.–4 p.m., September 5–7 (3515 Park Drive, F.P.). Donations are welcome. Donuts, coffee and breakfast burritos from Cup Of Joe’s Coffee Lounge will be available for sale.

• A Planning Meeting for the Holiday Faire will be held at Caveman Cavey’s, September 13, 5:30 p.m. Come help make this event a reality again.
