• It’s Homecoming at FMHS! * Meet local law enforcement for Coffee with a Cop 9–11 a.m. in the Condor Lounge in the PMC Clubhouse. This is an informal gathering to give members and guests an opportunity to meet with neighborhood officers.

• Today begins Red Ribbon Week at Frazier Park Elementary School, Gorman School and Peak to Peak Mountain Charter School in support of a drug-free community. There will be a different theme for each day. Take the drug-free pledge at redribbon.org.

• 36,000 new neighbors may come with Tejon Ranchcorp’s Grapevine project, which combines 10,000 to 12,000 new homes with commercial, industrial development from the base of the Grapevine north to Laval Road. The Kern County Planning Commission hearing is at 7 p.m. (1115 Truxtun Ave., ground floor in the Board of Supervisors chambers. Free parking is available in adjacent parking structure).
