• ‘Albedo,’ the reflectance of light from a surface, is the Science Saturday topic, 10 a.m. at the Frazier Park Library.

• Are you ready to get into the Holiday mood? The Grapevine Singers perform seasonal music, 11 a.m.–1 p.m. at the Frazier Park Library.

• The Christmas in the Village parade is at noon. Visit Santa in the Pine Mountain Village Gazebo afterwards until 3 p.m. You’ll also find vendors, live entertainment, hot chocolate and more. A gift shop just for kids features items for 25 cents!

• The 4th Annual Reindeer Run fundraiser is today at Frazier Park School. Family and friends pledge donations for students who jog, walk or run for approximately 30 minutes. Call school for start time.

• A recruitment for the Wildland Fire Science Class is 11 a.m. at Frazier Mountain High School (700 Falcon Way, Lebec). The class begins Monday, Jan. 15, 2018 and is open to everyone. • A new series of 11th Step meetings for 12 Step members will be ongoing every Wednesday, 5:10–6:10 p.m. beginning today at the Family Resource Center (3015 Mt. Pinos Way, Frazier Park).

• A public hearing about proposed subdivision maps for Tejon Mountain Village (around Castac Lake in Lebec) by Tejon Ranch Company is before the Kern County Planning Commission at 7 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Chambers (1115 Truxtun Ave., Bakersfield).

• ‘The Nick of Time’ is this year’s Frazier Mountain High School Drama Class Christmas production on Friday, Dec. 15 and Saturday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. at the high school. Pre-sale tickets are $8. Tickets at the door are $10 and seating begins at 6:30 p.m.

• Free gift wrapping is offered on Saturday, Dec. 16 and 23 from noon to 4 p.m. at Shelter on the Hill Thrift Store (3538 Mt. Pinos Way, Frazier Park). Bring your gifts to wrap and find a few more at the same time!

• Frazier Park School’s Winter Program is Tuesday, Dec. 19, 6–8 p.m. at El Tejon School. There will also be a bake sale.

• Friday, Dec. 22 is the last day of school for El Tejon Unified, Gorman Elementary and Peak to Peak Mountain Charter School until students return from Winter Break on Monday, Jan. 8, 2018.

• ‘A Fantasy Christmas Show’ by In the Wings Studio of Dance is Saturday, Dec. 23, 4 p.m. (doors open at 3 p.m.) at Frazier Mountain High School. Tickets at the door are $12 for adults, $8 for kids under 13.
