•The Kern County Grand Jury accepts applications to April 4 from U.S. citizens, over 18 who speak and read English, able to donate 20 hrs./wk. per week (www.co.kern.ca.us/grandjury).

•Does your nonprofit organization need a fundraiser? The last Saturday of every month is up-for-grabs fundraising day at Name Your Price Thrift Store (628 Alhambra Tr., Frazier Park). Your group staffs the store for a day, takes all the day’s proceeds for your nonprofit (818.448.9007).

•Walk like a warrior with the 2014 Mountain Communities Relay For Life to fight cancer and help your neighbors with their battle.
