•Visit Fort Tejon during its Dragoon Day program and step back in time to an 1856 western U.S. Army outpost. Frontier demonstrations include laundry, candle-making, artillery drill, open-hearth cooking, carpentry and blacksmithing (4201 Ft. Tejon Road, I-5 exit State Park, 3 miles north of FP).

•Friends of the Library book sale’s final day, 9 a.m.–4 p.m. (3732 Park Drive, FP).

•Learn about California’s water history, aqueducts, limited sources of water and the importance of conservation at Vista del Lago Visitors Center above a grand view of Pyramid Lake. •Tejon Conservancy presents its California Naturalist course (five Friday evenings, 6–8:30 p.m. and five Saturdays, 9 a.m.–4 p.m., beginning on August 15). Sign up is $100 with four UC Davis college credits optional ($85 added fee) toward certification as a state naturalist. at calnat.ucanr.edu/Take_a_class/Tejon_Ranch_Conservancy.

•Does your nonprofit organization need a fundraiser? The last Saturday of every month is up-for-grabs fund raising day at Name Your Price Thrift Store (628 Alhambra Tr., Frazier Park).
