•Buddhabear’s Comics sponsors ‘Humans vs. Zombies’ Nerf Blasters Tag at Frazier Mountain Park, 1–5 p.m. Sign up at Buddhabear’s Comics (3534 Mt. Pinos Way, FP) or hvzsource.com/Buddhabears; then bring your Nerf blasters and clean socks.

•Ice cream lovers rejoice as the seventh annual ice cream Zoofari returns to the California Living Museum, 5–8 p.m. (10500 Alfred Harrell Hwy. Bkfld, in the Kern River County Park). Build your own sundae, cone or root beer float. Members: $10 adults; $8 ages 3–12; nonmembers: $15 adults; $12 ages 3–12. •It’s Opening Game Night for Falcon’s Football at Frazier Mountain High School. Falcons play Mammoth at home: JV at 4 p.m.; Varsity, 7 p.m.(700 Falcon Way, Lebec)

•Cruise Night at the Falcon’s Nest in Frazier Park begins at 6 p.m. Bring your classic car, bicycle or ride of any kind to show off—or just come to enjoy the summer gathering, then get on over to the first football game at Falcon Field, FMHS.

Saturday, August 30

•Community Yard Sale is at Lampkin Park on the basketball courts, 8 a.m.–2 p.m. Space available for free for Pine Mountain residents; first come, first served. For more info call 242-3788.

•The Ridge Route Communities Museum’s Annual Rummage Sale and fundraiser is 12–4 p.m. on the museum grounds today, tomorrow, and Monday (3515 Park Drive, Frazier Park). Bring your donations of gently used items to the museum or call 661.245.7747 to arrange pick up.

•Blues, Brews and BBQ Festival in Pine Mountain Village, noon–5 p.m. presents specialty brews plus live music from 12:30–5 p.m. Tickets are $25.
