•Ridge Route Communities Museum historian Bonnie Kane, author of A View from the Ridge Route: The Roadways will be at Author’s Corner at 11 a.m. to talk about her remarkable books on local history, hosted by the Frazier Park Library (3732 Park Dr., FP). Refreshments to be served.

•Come to the Jizo Peace Center Retreat for International Peace Day, today and tomorrow, beginning with meditation at 12 p.m. (2012 Pioneer Way, Pine Mountain). Remember children who have died in the past year; make origami cranes to put in front of the Jizo statues (jizopeacecenter@yahoo.com).

•Join with family and friends in the Color the Mountain 5k Fun Run, 1–4 p.m. at Frazier Mountain Park. Get blasted with safe, allergy-free, colored cornstarch powder as funds are raised to help train young leaders in the Mountain Communities. •The famous San Andreas Fault Tour of the Ridge Route Communities Museum begins at 9 a.m. Meet at Pleito Canyon turnout in Cuddy Valley, led by Geologist Tim Elam, $10. Funds help sustain the museum’s public presentation program.
