FRAZIER PARK, CA (Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017 at 9:30 a.m.)—The roadways are open from Interstate 5 to the top of Mt. Pinos. Driving on Mt. Pinos Road from Cuddy Valley requires motorists to have chains available in the vehicle, according to CHP. Depending on weather conditions, they may require that you put the chains on your tires. There is a chain control checkpoint at the bottom of Mt. Pinos Road at the “Y.” There are several inches of snow in upper Cuddy Valley. Snow play is permitted at the top of Cuddy Valley at the “Y.”
