Wildlife Safety Alert: Mountain Lion Spotted near Frazier Mtn. Park Rd. in Lebec

LEBEC, CA (Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 7:59 a.m.)–Robin Shields of Lebec called the Breaking News line (245-NEWS) to report the sighting of a mountain lion at 6:05 a.m. this morning near Frazier Mountain Park Road in Lebec. Shields said she was walking her dogs near the entrance to Grand Terrace Estates when she saw the lion climb into an oak tree just to the left of the entrance. She shot photos of the cat with her film camera and then left to go home. When she returned about ten minutes later, the animal was gone. Shields said the lion was 140 lbs to 160 lbs in size.
