FRAZIER PARK, CA (Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016 at 12:40 p.m.)—Strong winds have taken down a tree in the 700 block of Canada Trail in Frazier Park, knocking out cable and internet service. Residents on the street say their power is still on. Kern County Fire Department Engine 357 responded to secure the area and prevent motorists from driving near the electrical lines. “We’re treating these lines as live electrical lines,” said fire Captain Kirksey. Sounthern California Edison was notified and was enroute with a crew. The Dollar General store still has power, but its new wooden fence along the western edge of its property was smashed as the tree fell across the road. No one was injured.
