Yes, that was a ‘Planned Outage’ as the whole mountain lost electricity

LEBEC, FRAZIER PARK, LAKE OF THE WOODS, CUDDY VALLEY, PINE MOUNTAIN CLUB, CA (Sunday, March 22, 2015 at 10 a.m.)—Southern California Edison notified customers throughout the Mountain Communities (by postcards to residential addresses) that a “maintenance power outage” was planned for the region on Sunday, March 22 from 10 to 11 a.m. Mission creep occurred, of course, and electricity didn’t come back on until about 12:10 p.m.

We’ll be reporting more about these issues in the upcoming edition of The Mountain Enterprise. We ask that those throughout the mountain region keep sending their logs of power outages and surges, being sure to include your name, telephone and place of residence. If you have an uninterrupted power supply (UPS) which maintains a log, please contact us at the newspaper (661-245-3794). The UPS records surges, power drops and outages, making a very useful record.
