40th Fiesta Days Frolic

Excitement and reunions, meeting old friends and making new ones was the theme of Mountain Memories’ "40 Years of Mountain Cheer" August 3, 4 and 5 Fiesta Days blow-out.

The mountain-wide party that started 40 years ago as a way to raise money to bring medical care to the mountain is still bringing fun while raising funds for community projects. While the struggle for emergency medical care continues, the forty year tradition of a summer party does too.

This year there were nine bands, a teen dance, an adult dance, crazy carnival rides, arcade booths and the beloved contests such as log sawing, horseshoe pitching, family races, a fishing derby and the always surprising pet show.

Next week we’ll show more images from the events.
