A summer stroll into the history of Frazier Mountain Park, July 22

Did you know that Frazier Mountain Park was created as the center of a recreational resort?

The Ridge Route Communities Museum is offering its popular summer evening walking tour of Frazier Mountain Park on July 22. This is an opportunity to learn the history of the location where the Frazier Mountain communities had their beginnings.

A handout filled with pictures of the original facilities show stables, the five original ponds, the water fountain, where the playground was first located, and more. Come join the group for an informative summer walk in the park. Meet at the entrance to the clubhouse sidewalk (as the building was first called) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening, July 22. There will be a $5 charge for the tour and the handout of old photos. —Bonnie Kane
