Antony and Cleopatra Coming to Frazier Park Library Two Saturdays

By George Garrigues, for the Classical Readers

The Classical Readers of Frazier Park Library will present the first half of a two-part reading of William Shakespeare’s “Antony and Cleopatra” in a tightened version edited by Professor Katherine King of Pine Mountain. Join them at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, in the Frazier Park Library. The second half will be read on Saturday, Aug. 16 at 3:30 p.m.

The group has been reading the classics aloud nearly every Saturday for more than a year. The series began with the Greek playwright Homer, then continued through the Romans and the Italians and has now arrived at Shakespeare.

This is part of the August 8, 2014 online edition of The Mountain Enterprise.
