API Scores Show Mixed Results for Local School Districts

Frazier Mountain High School surpassed its improvement goal on the state’s academic performance index (API) with a score of 750, an increase of 49 over its 2010 score of 701. The required target was 706.

The California Department of Education (CDE) released the scores for schools statewide on Wednesday, Aug. 31.

El Tejon Middle School surpassed its improvement goal of 739 with a score of 776, an increase of 42 over its 2010 score of 734.

Pine Mountain Learning Center dropped 14 points, from its 2010 score of 915, to 901, but that score is still 101 points above the state’s target of 800.

Valley Oaks Charter School fell by 1 point from its 2010 score of 749, to a 2011 score of 748.

Frazier Park Elementary School dropped 34 from its 2010 score of 771, to a 2011 score of 737.

Gorman Elementary School fell 63 from its 2010 score of 784, to a 2011 score of 721.
