Artworks Gallery opens

By Michael Cram, Artworks

A new art venue is opening in Pine Mountain Village.

Artworks Community Gallery believes that art is a means by which a community develops for itself a medium for self expression and interpretation.

Owners Lee Dunnavant, Mel Weinstein and Mike Cram will show local art in an open and contemplative setting. The gallery wants to inspire and inform our local artists and community to widen and enlarge our view of what art can do and say about our lives and the world.

The first show is ‘Here We Are,’ a collection of artists and their work from the Mountain Communities. The goal of the gallery is to entertain, enlighten and educate.

The gallery is located at 16233 Pine Valley Lane in Pine Mountain Village, open Friday, Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Our ‘soft opening’ was September 19 but the grand opening is October 4 at 7 p.m.

This is part of the September 26, 2014 online edition of The Mountain Enterprise.
