The teachers of El Tejon Unified School District’s Pine Mountain Learning Center are smiling because the charter school earned the highest Academic Performance Index score of all schools in Kern County: 915. A surprise mini rosebush arrived for each of the teachers from an anonymous fan last week to congratulate (l-r) Emily Lee (grades 4,5,6); Carolyn Schwantes (grades 3-4); Michelle White (grades 1-2); and Terry Page (grades K-1). Congratulations to teachers, students and parents. Well done!
