College ‘n’ career fair for public

By Lee Bizzini

Looking for a new job? Deciding which college to attend? Look no further!

Frazier Mountain High School will be hosting a college and career fair on Wednesday, May 21. Our community is invited to attend from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The FMHS gymnasium will be filled with employers. The U.S. Forest Service, CalTrans, Starbucks and Windsor Fashions (from The Outlets at Tejon) will be attending. Representatives will also be here from California State University Northridge, College of the Canyons, ITT Tech, Masters College and more to speak with students and their families.

We will have 20-25 employers and
15-20 colleges and vocational
schools present.

All branches of the military will be present, as will vocational schools such as Milan Institute Beauty School and California College of Vocational Careers.

Each business and college will be bringing brochures, pictures and hand-outs to help students and the community walk away with a good knowledge base of various careers and higher education institutions.

Many other employers and colleges not listed here will be present. In total, we will have 20-25 employers and 15-20 colleges and vocational schools present with representatives who will be prepared to answer questions.

Whether you’re interested in working for a police department or in the hospitality business, attending a four-year university or a two-year college, the FMHS college and career fair has something for everyone!

If you have any questions, please call Debbie Ford at 661-248-5271 or Lee Bizzini at 661-245-3312.
