Community Reading Program Volunteers Needed

What do you think it would take for you to make a life-changing difference for the future of a child, a difference that will have a continuing, lifelong impact? What if we told you that making such a large contribution would cost you just one hour a week? Please consider this fact: Volunteers are needed to assist with the United Way’s community reading program.

Just one hour a week listening to second-graders read can help students make major strides forward in their skills and confidence as readers. A current student moved ahead a full year in reading skills in just one semester. Now volunteers are needed for the second semester. Expenses are covered by United Way.
