An eager crowd of kids burst through the yellow tape at Frazier Mountain Park at eleven o’clock sharp on Saturday, April 15 for the 15th Annual Dave da Handyman Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Community BBQ.

Dave Giniewicz Assaly would be beaming with joy to see the annual egg hunt continue. Giniewicz died in 2012.

Jerry Parker and friends have continued the tradition, because Dave da Handyman’s nickname represents a spirit of selfless generosity, with a focus on helping children and those with economic challenges.

Dave and his wife Alice Assaly started the Name Your Price Thrift Store, now in Frazier Park, which recycles household goods, toys, clothing, books and art to those who need them.

Last Saturday hundreds of kids dashed for the eggs, then exchanged them for a variety of donated gifts and toys.
