Earthquake Felt in Pine Mountain

PINE MOUNTAIN, CA (Friday, March 28, 2014 at 9:19 p.m.)—Mild shaking was felt in the Pine Mountain community this evening at about 9:10 p.m. That corresponds with the timing of a 5.1 magnitude earthquake that struck 1 mile east of La Habra and southeast of Los Angeles at 9:09 p.m. The La Habra quake occurred at a depth of 1.2 miles. It was followed by a 3.4 magnitude quake just two minutes later in the same area, but nearer the surface at a depth of only .1 mile.
