Fantasy of Lights Holiday Faire Brings Thrills…n’ Chills

Everyone loves a parade, even when our teeth are rattling and our noses are brighter red than Rudolph’s…Wait a moment…did I say Rudolph? He was at the Holiday Faire with a guy in a red suit…Sam…Sam T…oh yes… Santa. At 26 degrees, the air was crackling, but that didn’t stop the smiles from beaming bright and warm.

The 23rd Annual Holiday Faire was preceeded by television and newspaper interviews in Bakersfield with Mountain Communities Chamber of Commerce (MCCOC) members Pam Low and Pam Sturdevant. Screenwriter Don Tait was parade Grand Marshall and County Supervisor Ray Watson threw candy to the children. The El Tejon Marching Band and the FMHS Drum Line cut crisp figures, along with Focus Central singers and dancers, S.O.S., Chatterpillar’s wild balloon squad, Black Magic Alpacas and a stubborn FFA goat.
