Fast-moving fire burning south of Gorman School

GORMAN, CA (Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 11:52 a.m.)—Gorman School Superintendent Joe Andrews has returned from the fire location where he said fire crews have contained the fire.

GORMAN, CA (Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 11:25 a.m.)—A brush fire is moving from the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 to the west. This is south of Gorman Elementary School. Gorman School Superintendent Joe Andrews told The Mountain Enterprise he was leaving to go see the position of the fire and would notify the newspaper of any plans that may affect the school. CHP reported at 11:20 a.m.: “Wind is blowing to the west fire moving rapidly.”
