Festival of Books expands worlds

Imaginations come alive this Saturday.

Your children and grandchildren will want to meet storytelling pirates and Clifford the Big Red Dog at the Festival of Books, September 28, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Frazier Mountain Park.

They may spot Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, McGruff—the “Take a Bite Out of Crime” super sleuth pup—and real-life action figures reading stories under the oak trees of Frazier Mountain Park.

Rotary Club of the Frazier Mountain Communities hosts this joyful celebration of the adventure of reading.

You’ll discover balloons, a clown, face painting, make-it-yourself origami and a crafts table. Organizers promise alluring door prizes for adults, plus free snacks and hot popcorn.

Children will receive free books as gifts. There is no charge for the event at the Frazier Mountain Park Community Center (300 Park Drive) in Frazier Park.
