Fort Tejon 4th of July — picnics, games and big booms

What could be more fun than an old fashioned Fourth of July at the historic Fort Tejon outpost in Lebec? Join the flashback to 1856, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, July 4.

There will be fun family games, pie eating contests, sack races and an 1850s tug of war. The cannon salute is at 12 noon sharp.

$5/ adults;
$3/children;
family discounts.

Bring your own picnic for dining under the giant Valley oaks. There is no food for sale.
