Girls volleyball starts practice on August 5

By Sharon Lemburg, FMHS volleyball coach

The new high school year is about to start and the volleyball team will be resuming practice August 5-9 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon everyday.
Anyone who is interested in playing this year should come and participate. There will be two teams and, as usual, the competition is good.

The girls have been playing all summer on Mondays but we took some time off while the gym floor was being re-surfaced.

Volleyball is a great sport and we look forward to seeing all those interested in the sport to come out.

School starts in the week following the week of August 5. We will be practicing everyday from 3 to 6 p.m., except on Thursday, Aug. 15 which is a minimum day, so practice is 1 to 4 p.m.

Please join us. Our first tournament is Saturday, Aug. 24, so we only have a few short weeks to prepare.
If you have any questions, call 661-406-0220 for Sharon Lemburg or leave me a message.

We graduated six starters last season, so we will be rebuilding the varsity and junior varsity this year.

This is the year to jump in and win those starting positions.

New freshmen, this is a great time to start your volleyball career for Frazier Mountain High School.
Practices run every school day, with games twice a week.

Welcome to the new season, let’s get ready for another championship!
