LEBEC, CA (Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016 at 02:20 p.m.)—The fire is out and crews are mopping up, according to CHP.

LEBEC, CA (Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016 at 12:59 p.m.)—A brush is burning up the hill from Interstate 5 about two miles south of Grapevine on the southbound side. The fire was burning about 15 feet from a power pole, possibly on Tejon Ranch property. It appears the fire may have started at the freeway shoulder. Kern County Fire Department engines 55 and 57 plus others in the area are working to knock down the Tejon fire.
