Illegal sign owners to receive letters soon

By Patric Hedlund
The scenic view along Frazier Mountain Park Road is about to be reclaimed from the riot of commercial billboards that have sprung up.

Kern County sources said letters will be sent to the owners of out-of-code signs this week, inviting them to remove their signs so construction can begin on the monument signage (made of logs and stone) to be erected for merchants as a more aesthetic entryway to the area.

The project is a partnership between the Frazier Park Public Utilities District, Kern County and the Mountain Communities Chamber of Commerce. Gordon Construction is the contractor.
