Lilac Festival Parade call

Volunteers are still needed to be part of the Lilac Festival entry by Center of the World Festival and The Ridge Route Museum, who have combined efforts to celebrate a new storytelling project entitled “The Coming of Asphalt.” Marchers from Fort Tejon Historical Association are also joining in the entry. The entry will be filmed.

Marchers are representing different time periods from our combined Mountain Communities past. Dress up and have fun being somebody from the past history of our mountains—stage coach robber, missionary priest, gold miners, gamblers, forestry, soldiers, homesteader, Model T owners, flappers etc. Contact Bobbie Ladin (661.242.2072; 661.805.9327). Come and have fun.

This is part of the May 16, 2014 online edition of The Mountain Enterprise.
