LEBEC (June 29, 2010 8:22 p.m.)—At about 4:15p.m. a Chevrolet Tahoe ran off Lebec Road and wrapped around a tree. It took two hours to free the driver, Sandy Kelly of Los Padres Estates. There were no skid marks. There was speculation at the scene that Kelly may have tried to avoid a deer. Kern County Fire Department, California Highway Patrol and Hall Ambulance responded.

Kelly was taken for medical care. An updated report will be filed about her condition as soon as the information is available.
