New Library And Two Firestations In Kern Plan

The Mountain Communities will host a meeting July 30 at 6:30 p.m. to consider Kern County’s Capital Improvement Plan for this area.

It anticipates what public facilities will be built here by 2030. Among the items anticipated is the 10,000 sq. foot Frazier Park Branch of the Kern County Library, for which $5.45 million has been allocated. Building on that is slated to begin by spring of 2008.

A budget of $3.01 million has been set for a new firestation #58 for Pine Mountain—which currently has a condemned firestation—and $2.94 million for Frazier Park Station #57.

The meeting will be held at Frazier Mountain Park Community Center on Park Drive.
