Raising funds to raise leaders

‘It is important for kids up here to know they can do more than they think they can.’

We are excited to invite the community to the 2014 Color the Mountain 5k on September 20, 2014 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Frazier Mountain Park. Join us for fun, food, youth information booths and ever more vibrant colors.

Color Walk/Runs have been sweeping our country as the most exciting 5k event on the planet. This is an alcohol-free, family event to raise money for a new opportunity for 40 young peer leaders to attend a Youth Leadership Camp Conference this June 26-27.

Join in the fun and help us meet our goal. Everyone is invited to get blasted with safe, nontoxic, allergy-free, colored cornstarch powder as you walk and run along the 5k track to an amazing finale where all participants create a rainbow of colors in the sky.

Registration will be $25 if purchased by July 31; $30 from August 1-31. You’ll receive an event T-shirt, head sweatband and wristband. Children 5 and under are free. Registration can be mailed to Mountain Communities Family Resource Center (to P.O. Box 1902, Frazier Park, CA 93225) or go online to http://colorthemountain.com
