Relay For Life fights back — Painting the world purple with hope

Teams of friends and neighbors worked together this year to raise over $35,000 to fight cancer and to provide assistance to those who are battling the disease. On Saturday, June 25, Relay For Life of the Mountain Communities held a 24-hour party at the Frazier Mountain High School Falcon Fields to celebrate their 2016 mobilization.

The Pine Mountain Club Commercial Property Owners Association donated $4,100 from Wine in the Pines to the cause. Karen Schott’s One Year Better team was the top fundraiser for the fourth year in a row. Ray Scott of Price Mountainside Disposal and Anna Hart, 22 of Lebec helped to lead the Survivors Lap.
