Smoke raises questions, movie company may have answer

CUDDY VALLEY and PINE MOUNTAIN, CA (September 9, 2013 at 11 a.m.)—Residents of upper Cuddy Valley and the Pine Mountain community have called with questions about the smell of smoke and haze in the region. Pine Mountain Club Property Owners Association (PMCPOA) reported to Kern County Fire Department that there is a movie company generating artificial smoke in Pine Mountain at the top of Woodland Drive.

Firefighters from Kern County Fire Department also received calls and went out to investigate.

Cuddy Valley residents reported seeing smoke to the east of their location. Mountain Community fire stations are reporting that they have not found a source of fire on the mountain this morning.
