Solar Companies Seek Thursday Meeting in Neenach

NEENACH (Wednesday, Jan. 19, 12 p.m.)—Citizens of Neenach and Fairmont area are being alerted that a meeting is planned Thursday, Jan. 20 by the Fairmont Town Council at the WeeVill Market (18348 West Avenue D, off Highway 138, Lancaster, CA 93536) to listen to solar companies seeking to build facilites in their region. The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. This month, two appeals were filed with the Los Angeles County Planning Department to halt a conditional use permit granted to NRG Solar in December.

Tonight, Wednesday, Jan. 19 we have a report that Antelope Acres Town Council is holding a meeting at 6 p.m. (Lancaster Blvd and 190th Street) to hear a presentation from White Ranch Wind which seeks to install a 1,000 acre solar and wind power facility.

The agenda for the Fairmont Council’s Thursday meeting is below.

According to the email alert sent out this hour, the council has been contacted by two solar companies. This is that alert as it was written:

1) Wild Flower green Energy farm Project, Nate Parker has requested to meet with the citizens of Fairmont to discuss his plans and project. He will be available at the January 20 meeting at Weevile Market.

2) Alpine Solar, NRG, Ray Kelley wants a meeting with the Town Council and the citizens about the appeal that was filed. He also wishes to discuss his project.

There are an additional two solar companies that are scheduled to show a presentation at the January 20 meeting and have a Q&A session
