Southbound I-5 Lanes Closed at Vista Del Lago

FRAZIER PARK, CA (Fricay, Aub. 26, 2011 at  6:30 a.m.)—California Highway Patrol traffic incidnet shows one northbound Interstate 5 lane was closed as of 4:36 a.m. at Vista del Lago Road (hear Pyramid Lake). This may affect those returning to the Mountain Communities, but ont those leaving for southern destinations.

FRAZIER PARK, CA (Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011 at 5:05 p.m.)–The #3 and #4 lanes of the southbound I-5 are open.  CHP reports that lane #2 will open soon.

FRAZIER PARK, CA (Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011 at 3:45 p.m.)–CHP reports indicate a possible fatality. Preliminary reports are that a northbound big rig overturned, came over the center divider and landed in the southbound lanes, spilling its cargo of lemons and limes across lanes. Traffic is being diverted at Vista Del Lago. Some traffic is being routed through on the right shoulder. Alternate route: If southbound from Bakersfield or Frazier Park, take Hwy 138 east to Hwy 14 south back to Interstate 5 southbound. A Sigalert has been issued and L.A. County Coroner is enroute.

FRAZIER PARK, CA (Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011 at 3:35 p.m.)–CHP reports that all southbound lanes of Interstate 5, north of Vista Del Lago, are closed due to a big rig accident. Watch this page for updates.
