Storm update for Mountain Communities

FRAZIER PARK, LEBEC, GORMAN, LAKE OF THE WOODS and PINE MOUNTAIN CLUB, CA (Monday, July 20 at 7:45 a.m.)—No closures were reported during the night from Mil Potrero Highway in Pine Mountain Club or Lockwood Valley Road out to Interstate 5 in Lebec. More rain showers are forecast for today and this evening with a Flash Flood Watch in effect until 11 p.m. tonight.

FRAZIER PARK, LEBEC, GORMAN, LAKE OF THE WOODS and PINE MOUNTAIN CLUB, CA (Sunday, July 19 at 9:51 p.m.)—Kern County Office of Emergency Service has issued a ReadyKern emergency notification for a Flash Flood Warning, which is in effect through 11:15 pm on July 19th, for the communities of Maricopa, Mettler, Frazier Park, Lebec, Lake of the Woods and Pine Mountain Club. Please refer to Kern County Information and Referral Service at 2-1-1.

FRAZIER PARK, LEBEC, GORMAN, LAKE OF THE WOODS and PINE MOUNTAIN CLUB, CA (Sunday, July 19 at 9:36 p.m.)—A Toyota 4-Runner is reported to have rolled over on southbound I-5 at Gorman School Road and is blocking the slow lane; reported as non-injury. Another vehicle has rolled on the onramp to southbound I-5 at Gorman School Road with occupants all out of the vehicle; appears to be non-injury.

FRAZIER PARK, LEBEC, GORMAN, LAKE OF THE WOODS and PINE MOUNTAIN CLUB, CA (Sunday, July 19 at 9:15 p.m.)—Admidst heavy rains, at this time no road closures are reported in the Mountain Communities. Flood waters have caused buckling of the roadway near Mil Potrero Highway and Cerro Noroeste Road, according to CHP. Road conditions can change rapidly.
