Summer lunch program for all youths under 18

All community children under the age of 18 are invited to enjoy free, nutritious lunch meals at the Frazier Park School (3149 San Carlos Trail, Frazier Park).

El Tejon Unified School District Cafeteria Manager Robert Sanchez said “there are no eligibility requirements to meet, no forms to fill out and no fees to pay.”

He also said that children are welcome to bring their visiting friends with them. Children do not need to be residents of Kern County, or the Mountain Communities. The meals are funded by a federal nutrition program for children.

The meals will be served Monday through Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. from June 9 through August 1 (only Friday, July 4 is a holiday for the staff, so there will be no meal service that day). —PH
