Tour is 4 p.m. Historian Bonnie Kane will tell how Hollywood celebrities, McCarthyism and the notorious blacklist figures in the history of this landmark in Lockwood Valley. • $2.00 a Day: Living on Almost Nothing in America by Kathryn J. Edin and H. Luke Shaefer is the One Book One Kern book at the Frazier Park Library. Join the talk on the income gap and poverty in America, Saturday, Oct. 14, 3 p.m.

• Scuba diver Brooke Mark is the featured speaker at the Condor Group of the Sierra Club meeting Friday, Sept. 22, 7 p.m. in the PMC pool pavilion. Come hear her stories of diving in Hawaii, the Grand Cayman Islands and off the Santa Barbara coast. All are invited to attend.
