•Ridge Route Museum Raffle Winners to be chosen Saturday, Dec. 7 at the Festival of Lights Holiday Faire in FP. Two hand-knit afghans by Hanni Mosig and a family tree genealogy by Dale Sheldon will be raffled; buy tickets at the Ridge Route Museum, $1 or 6 for $5 (661-245-7747).

•Toys for Tots toy donations for toddlers to teens are needed by December 15. Look for donor boxes in locations around the mountain. All toys contributed by our community stay local. Call the Family Resource Center at 245-4303 for more details.

Friday, Dec. 6

•Reindeer Run Fundraiser at Frazier Park School begins at 8:30 a.m. and lasts until the last student is standing. Make a pledge to see how many times your student can run around the track and support Frazier Park School.

Saturday, Dec. 7

•Holiday Faire and Fantasy of Lights Parade offers holiday shopping, entertainment and festivities, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Enjoy the parade at 3:45 p.m. in downtown Frazier Park, led by the Pearl Harbor Remembrance March. Visit the craft and food vendors, artisan faire, treasure hunt and face painting booths. Take pictures with Santa. It’s the place to be! Sponsored by the Mtn. Communities Chamber of Commerce: www.mymountainchamber.com. Warm your merry lil’ self after the parade at La Sierra (3500 Mt. Pinos Way, FP) with Christmas Show by YesterYear, 5:30 p.m.

•‘Before Paparazzi’ Photography Exhibit will showcase the talents of Gerald Smith, NBC staff photographer from the 1950s–1967. Meet at the FP Library (3732 Park Dr., FP), 10 a.m.–12 noon and see photos shot on Bob Hope’s USO Tour and behind-the-scenes TV shows (refreshments served).

•Kumihimo or “bunched threads” braiding class for ages 6+ will be offered by fabric artist Mary Hansen at Mil Potrero Mutual Water Company meeting room, 10 a.m.–12 noon. Fee includes loom and supplies ($5–ages 6-18; $20–adults) 661-242-7005.
