“The beautiful sunshine is making everything start to bloom in Neenach,” reports Jeff Zimmerman this week from the Western Antelope Valley. “The M&M Peach Ranch was in full bloom on Three Points Road [on the way to Elizabeth Lake] and the poppies are coming next!” he added.

Meanwhile, Zimmerman scouted along Bear Mountain Boulevard (State Route 223) near Arvin, which has a warmer climate at the base of the Grapevine, with an elevation of 500 feet.

He found a healthy carpet of green with a sea of purple and orange beginning to bloom, illustrating the impact of the recent rains.
