Charlie fire in Castaic not impacting Interstate 5 traffic

FRAZIER PARK, CA (Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018 at 11:30 a.m.)—The Charlie fire in Castaic has burned about 3,400 acres and is 10% to 15% contained. About 20 homes in San Francisquito Canyon are still under evacuation orders. Interstate 5 traffic is not affected.

FRAZIER PARK, CA (Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018 at 8:05 a.m.)—The 3,300-acre Charlie fire that started at about 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Castaic is reported to be moving northeast (away from Interstate 5) and not interrupting traffic on the freeway. Evacuations were underway in the area Saturday evening.
