Don’t Send that Ballot: PMCPOA Election Cancelled and Rescheduled

  • This is the actual letter being sent out by the PMCPOA Inspector of Elections. It says that due to an error in the first mailing of election packets, the current election is cancelled and another is scheduled. It also says ballots cast from the first mailing will not be counted.

The PMCPOA general manager has asked that we publish this letter to cancel the current election for three new directors of the POA. The election is being rescheduled due to an error in the first election packets.

Dear Pine Mountain Club POA Owner,
It has come to our attention that due to a flaw in the printing process, your election package may have been received without the Candidate Statement from Gary Biggerstaff. This error occurred through no fault of your Association.

We feel it is important that each eligible voting member have a complete election package in order to be an informed voter. Accordingly we are terminating this election process and will be reissuing a new and complete election package and ballot set at no cost to your Association.

We sincerely apologize for this error and have taken steps to
ensure that this type of issue will not occur again.

Since State Statues require proper notice of the meeting and election of directors, the date of the Annual Meeting has been moved to Saturday, July 19, 2014. You will be receiving a new election package on or before June 19, 2014 from which you may cast your votes on an updated ballot.

All ballots received from the initial mailing will be saved but marked invalid. The new ballots and registration/return envelopes will be
specifically coded to reflect the new election package distribution. The list of candidates will remain the same.

We appreciate your patience and your participation in the election process.
