Gorman School will be back to full-time on-campus classes as of this Thursday, March 4. Michi Knight, teacher of TK, kindergarten, first and second grade students gave The Mountain Enterprise a friendly heads-up on the exciting news.

The school has been working in a hybrid education model since November, which combines distance learning and limited on-campus class time.

On the topic of covid safety, Knight said that instead of desk separators, her class is taped off into six-foot squares, and many objects normally found in a lower school classroom have been cleared away. She said that county health inspectors were pleased when they inspected last fall. Closely-aged siblings will share space in mixed-grade rooms.

“We thought the younger students would have trouble with masks,” Knight said, “but they are so good about keeping them on!”
