Do you know someone who may be interested in gaining leadership skills, community development experience and learning about “organic seed-to-table justice?”

Students and other community members are invited to apply for Green Dragon Farms’ (GDF) 2014 scholarship. Applicants must reside within the Greater Frazier Mountain Communities, according to scholarship administrators at GDF.

A full scholarship of up to $500 is based on 50 hours of hands-on experience at Green Dragon Farms. The activities may include working with seeds, irrigation, propogation, construction, marketing and distribution.

There are five benchmarks, each of which includes 10 hours of service in a single month for a $100 stipend check.

Organizers say that the total number of student scholarships awarded will depend on additional grant funds.
