The Grapevine, Pine Mountain Club, Cuddy Valley, Gorman, Frazier Park, Lebec (Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2019 at 8 a.m.)— The sun is making a return to our mountain skies. Snow melt will continue, as will freezing temperatures at night, so watch out for those sneaky black ice patches that can be hazardous. Drive slowly. Enjoy the view, and arrive safely. With 32º nights, wet roads may freeze with black ice. Continue to drive slowly and carefully to be safe on curving mountain roads. The Grapevine, Pine Mountain Club, Cuddy Valley, Gorman, Frazier Park, Lebec (Monday, Dec. 9, 2019 at 5:47 a.m.)—After a Sunday rainstorm and a night that dipped into freezing, roads may be icy this morning. Drive slowly and carefully.Black ice can send your car skidding before you know it is there.

The National Weather Service forecasts a milder week with days in the high 40s and low 50s. Nighttime lows will be freezing however, skimming 32 degrees and below, causing daytime snow melt on roads to cause dangerous driving conditions.
