The cover story in the June 19 edition of The Mountain Enterprise was about a 65 year-old man who died from a motorcycle accident on Frazier Mountain Park Road on Monday, June 15. At the time of publication, the man’s identity had not been confirmed.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office has now confirmed the identity of the deceased; his name was James Bradley Stearns.
According to the coroner’s report, the accident occurred at 6:10 a.m., and Stearns was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:28 a.m. due to his injuries. The accident occurred on Frazier Mountain Park Road, near the “Frazier Park” sign. Stearns next of kin has been notified of his death.
