Mountain residents 16 and up now vaccine-eligible

All Mountain Community residents age 16 and older became eligible to get covid-19 vaccinations as of March 29, according to an announcement by Governor Gavin Newsom that day.

Newsom eliminated all age and occupation qualifications for residents in ZIP Codes 93243 (Lebec), 93225 (Frazier Park to eastern Pine Mountain Club) and 93222 (most of Pine Mountain Club), since they fall in the lowest two measurement groups of the Healthy Places Index (HPI).

All but six of Kern County’s ZIP Codes fall into these two HPI groups, based on health-influencing factors such as healthcare access, housing,…(please see below to view full stories and photographs)
